After seven minutes a horn blows to inform the players that 30 seconds are left in the chukker. Made of high-impact plastic, outdoor or grass polo balls are white colored. To suit players’ personal preferences, mallet heads are fashioned in various weights.
Muhammad Babangida is a member of the Kaduna Polo Club, which is affiliated with the Nigerian Polo Association. In indoor polo, you will find 3 players on each team. Indoor polo includes snow, arena, as well as beach polo. A regulation size indoor polo arena is 110 yards long X 50 yards wide, with walls being a minimum of 4 ft high. The goal in polo, outdoor or indoor, is to hit the ball between the two goal posts. The teams change direction after each goal.
